transcribez lets you upload audio or video and receive AI-generated transcripts with speaker labels and timestamps, which you can edit, translate into other languages, and export. It also offers AI CV tailoring — generating a tailored CV and matching cover letter for a job you choose (see Section 11) — and a Remote Job Board of third-party listings (see Section 10). The editor offers AI spelling and grammar suggestions you can choose to accept. Features may change, improve, or be discontinued over time.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

• New accounts receive free trial minutes, valid for 14 days, no payment required. The trial ends when those minutes are used or after 14 days, whichever comes first, and is not renewed.
• Paid plans are billed monthly: Kick Off at KES 350/month (100 audio minutes) and Starter at KES 1,000/month (600 audio minutes). Current plan details and inclusions are shown on the pricing page. All plans are charged in Kenyan Shillings (KES); any USD amount shown to visitors outside Kenya is an approximate, display-only conversion — your card issuer sets the final exchange rate.
• Payments are processed by Paystack. You can pay by M-Pesa (Kenya only; a one-off charge you renew manually each cycle) or by card (available worldwide; renews automatically until cancelled).
• Minutes are pooled: each payment adds minutes to your balance and extends your access period. Your minute balance remains valid until your plan's end date, after which any unused minutes expire.
• Active plans include a set number of AI CV tailorings each month. You may buy optional one-off credit packs for additional tailorings; purchased credits do not expire monthly. Credit-pack purchases are one-off and, except where required by law, are non-refundable.
• Prices may change. We will give reasonable notice of price changes before they take effect.

You may cancel at any time. For card subscriptions, cancel before your next renewal date to avoid being charged for the following cycle; you retain access until the end of the period already paid for. M-Pesa charges are one-off and are not auto-renewed. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

You retain all ownership of the content you upload and the transcripts you generate. You grant us a limited licence to process, store, and transmit your content only as needed to provide the Service to you. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights and consents to upload your content and to have it transcribed or tailored, and that doing so does not violate any law or third-party rights. We store the files you upload only for as long as needed to provide the relevant feature and remove them automatically thereafter — see our Privacy Policy for details.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes others' rights.
• Process unlawful, harmful, or abusive material.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
• Resell or misuse the Service in violation of these Terms.

Transcripts are generated by automated speech and language AI and may contain errors. The Service is provided for convenience and should not be solely relied upon for legal, medical, financial, or other critical decisions without independent verification. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

The transcribez name, software, design, and underlying technology are owned by us and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or proprietary materials except as necessary to use the Service.

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, security, or factors beyond our reasonable control.

• What it is. The Service displays third-party job listings (the “Job Board”) to help you discover work — both fully-remote roles worldwide and on-the-ground roles in selected markets across Africa and the Middle East — across a range of categories (such as transcription, writing, customer support, sales & marketing, AI/data, tech, finance and more). Listings are aggregated from third-party job boards and shown for convenience and informational purposes only.
• Eligibility. The Job Board is free to browse and apply for any signed-in account. The feature, its categories, markets, and any limits may change or be withdrawn at any time.
• Fair use. To keep the board usable and prevent abuse, the number of roles you may open or mark as applied per calendar month may be limited. We may set or adjust such limits, or suspend access, where we detect misuse, scraping, or automated activity.
• No endorsement or vetting. We do not own, control, endorse, screen, or verify any listing or the employer behind it. transcribez is not an employer, recruiter, staffing agency, or agent for any listing, and nothing here is an offer of employment.
• No guarantee. We make no guarantee of any listing's availability, accuracy, legitimacy, pay, or of any application, interview, or hiring outcome. Listings reflect recent postings and may already be filled, closed, or changed by the time you view or apply to them.
• You deal directly with the third party. Clicking “Apply” takes you to an external website governed by its own terms and privacy practices. Any application, communication, contract, payment, or dispute is solely between you and that third party.
• Avoiding scams. Legitimate employers do not ask you to pay fees, buy equipment or training, or share passwords, full ID, or banking details simply to apply. Verify a listing independently before sharing personal or financial information, and report anything suspicious to support@transcribez.xyz.
• Tracking. When you open a listing (“Apply”) or mark a role as applied and update its status (e.g. interviewing, offer, rejected), we record those actions (which listing and when) to operate, secure, and improve the board and to power your personal application tracker, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• Our liability. We may add, remove, or hide listings at any time and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, are not liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of, or reliance on, third-party listings.

• What it is. The Service can generate a tailored version of your CV and a matching cover letter for a job you specify — by pasting the description, pasting a job link, or selecting a board listing. It rephrases and reorders the information you provide and is instructed not to invent qualifications.
• Your responsibility. AI output may contain errors or omissions. You must review and edit the result and ensure your final CV and cover letter are truthful and accurate before using them. You remain responsible for your applications and their outcomes.
• Job links. If you paste a job link, our servers fetch that public web page to read the job description. Some sites block automated access; where that happens, paste the description instead. Do not submit links to private, paywalled, or access-restricted pages you are not permitted to share.
• Limits & credits. Tailorings are subject to a monthly allowance and optional paid credit packs (Section 3). Limits and the feature itself may change or be withdrawn at any time.
• Your files. CVs you upload or save are stored only as long as needed and removed automatically after a period of inactivity; you can delete a saved CV at any time. See our Privacy Policy.

• How it works. You can invite others with your referral link. When someone signs up through your link and later makes a real (non-trial, non-test) subscription payment, you earn a referral reward.
• Earning & holding. Rewards are credited only on a qualifying real payment. Each reward is subject to a holding period before it becomes withdrawable — to allow for refunds, reversals, and fraud checks. The reward amount, holding period, and minimum payout are set by us and may change.
• Payouts. Once your withdrawable balance reaches the minimum we set, you may request a payout to M-Pesa. Payouts are sent via our payment provider to the M-Pesa details you supply; you are responsible for their accuracy.
• Fair use & abuse. Self-referrals, fake or duplicate accounts, and any attempt to manipulate the program are prohibited. We may withhold, reverse, or forfeit rewards, and suspend the program or your participation, where we detect abuse, fraud, refunds/chargebacks, or a breach of these Terms.
• Changes. Reward amounts, holding periods, minimums, eligibility, and the program itself may change or be withdrawn at any time. Rewards have no cash value except as expressly provided and are void where prohibited.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, transcribez shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold transcribez harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your content or your breach of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
